Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Accounting Academy in Kansas

Accountants and auditors in the public sector face the challenge of familiarizing themselves with the highly specialized rules, guidelines, and practices applicable to state and local governments. The GFOA Accounting Academy is an intensive workshop that combines lecture, discussion, and exercise for an overview of governmental accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.

Public finance professionals who are new to the field or looking to refine their skills in governmental accounting. Attendees will receive 32+ continuing professional education (CPE) hours.

Materials

Attendees must bring GFOA Blue Books to class to use in the training sessions. One set required per organization for the Academy. Blue Books are available to purchase for $70.00.
